BibRave Steps Up to the Plate to Elevate The Giant Race

BibRave and Giants Enterprises Extend Strategic Marketing Partnership into Year Three.

Runners at the start of the Giant Race

San Francisco, CA / BibRave, the leading-edge endurance and fitness marketing agency once again partnered with Giants Enterprises, the entrepreneurial arm of the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball franchise, to elevate the 15th annual Giant Race, presented by Alaska Airlines. This successful collaboration resulted in an impressive 22% year-over-year increase in registrations, with more than 7,200 runners, walkers, and families participating at Oracle Park.

As part of their partnership, BibRave managed paid social media campaigns for the event’s race channels, leveraging sophisticated audience targeting and budgeting techniques to maximize results. BibRave also assisted in the creation of email content and management of the Giant Race’s Starting 9 Ambassador program.

“The energy at Oracle Park during the 15th Annual Giant Race, presented by Alaska Airlines, was nothing short of electric,” said Joey Nevin, Vice President of Giants Enterprises. “Seeing our loyal fans and athletes fill the stadium with such enthusiasm was incredible. We count on our trusted partners at BibRave to knock it out of the park year after year with their expert race marketing, and love that they’ve helped us take this event to new heights.”

Giants Enterprises utilized BibRave’s marketing expertise through a flexible retainer-based model, ensuring the event’s continued growth and success. They also tapped BibRave’s extensive network of influencers, The Vibe: A BibRave Network, integrating influencer marketing into the overall plan. The Vibe is a curated and vetted network of nano-infuencers in the running and endurance space that specialize in creating authentic content to promote endurance events on their respective channels. These influencers generated hundreds of registrations for the 2024 Giant Race, accounting for more than 6% of overall registration.

“The Giant Race is more than just a running race; it’s a family-friendly, baseball-themed endurance experience that brings together walkers and runners of all levels,” said Andy Wallace, V.P. of Programs & Partnerships at BibRave. “Giants Enterprises consistently raises the bar for their participants, and BibRave was excited to step up to the plate again in 2024 to generate excitement and bring more families and friends to race weekend.”
