I'm a Chicago girl and can't imagine running 26.2 anywhere else. This is a well run race and running through all the neighborhoods in Chicago is the best. I run with a happy heart and I made sure I thanked the countless volunteers as I ran through the aid stations and I high fived and hugged as many spectators as I could! Can't wait to sign up for my fourth!!

I have run this race every year for the past four years in memory of my mother, who died on September 8th. I know she's with me every step of the way! It's great running along the Chicago Lakefront on Lake Shore Drive. I love the post race festivities and pizza, however, this year I was disappointed as I didn't have an ID with me and wasn't able to drink a post race beer!

This is one of my favorite races ever! I pick this year because it's my PR year. It's a well run race, after winter, perfect distance along a great route. Finishing on the 50 with friends and family in the stands is so much fun! Gosh, I love my city!!
