State #10 with the wifey! Smallest expo I've seen so far, but it was in a nice old central station building, and decent tech t-shirt. We stayed at the crown plaza across the train tracks and up the hill, but it looked like most parking lots were still at least 3/4 mi from the starting line. Primarily a flat course along the river with 1 big hill and 1 smaller hill. Finish line Aid stations was lacking.

State #8 with the wifey. Cousin came up from Texas to run with us also. It was a night run that started at sundown and goes south past the Welcome to las vegas sign and then back up north past the strip to downtown. Pretty much an out and back. Running the strip was great, very distracting and the miles just flew by. Even the old downtown vegas was fun, but the miles in between were boring. Wasn't as hot as we were expecting, so that was nice. They had UPS trucks to manage the check bags which seemed like a good idea, but somehow still lost my wife's bag. It took over a half an hour to find it. Still one of our favorite races so far.
