I have a love/hate relationship for the hills in this year's race. The challenge was awesome but my body is paying the price. Wouldn't even mind the same course next year so I could prepare to conquer it with confidence. I was a little disappointed in the logo for the T-shirts. I wish the running man was a little more prominent on the shirt as he has been in the past. I thought the Halloween image was very blurry but maybe some runners liked the change-up in the design since it was Halloween after all. The medal took a little bit to grow on me and ultimately I ended up liking as something different compared to my other medals I have collected. A friend suggested a spinning running man with a Tulsa skyline!!! I thought the Expo was sparse this year. It seems to be getting smaller and smaller every year. I had no problems with the aid stations but it would be nice to have consistency with the water/Gatorade placement. Either the water is in front or the Gatorade is in front, then I know where I can pick up the drink I want every time I hit a table. I never have parking problems downtown when it comes to a Saturday morning race and I love the scenery where ever I run in Tulsa. The food boxes were a zero for me! If you spent extra money for that, my vote is Don't Do It Again! I don't know how everyone else felt about the boxes but I miss the fruit, especially the bananas, and maybe bagels with cold chocolate milk.
Thanks for keeping the Tulsa Run going, it is one of those races that is an icon for Tulsa. I am looking forward to next year's race.
