The BAA 5k is probably the most crowded race I've ever run, but it was super fun! The course is a beautiful spin around downtown Boston and crosses the Boston Marathon finish line. Highly recommend if you're around that weekend--just get really far up in the corrals if you want to race vs. just run for fun. My one big gripe is that the shirts are unisex, so if you're a smaller lady they're huge. "Fast, flat 5 miler"

This is a relatively flat, fast 5 miler and a great way to spend the morning before the Superbowl. The weather was FRIGID, but the race was well-organized other than a little confusion over which direction to face at the start. There was lots of great swag (gloves, mugs, pint glasses, etc.) and free food and beer at the end. It was super nice that there is a warm lobby to wait in at the star line. The race attracts a speedy crowd but the 5k version is a bit smaller. More on my blog: https://shorterandfaster.com/2017/02/06/race-recap-super-sunday-5-miler/
