This was my first time doing the 10 mile distance and this race ended up being some of the most fun I’ve ever. Bib and t-shirt pickup was easy and there were ladies sizing options. There are cheer stations every mile and while some were more fun and elaborate than others, they all made the course fun and were the motivation needed.

Aid stations were about every 1.5 Miles and had water, power aid and porta potties. I believe they all had first aid, but I luckily didn’t need that. A Clif shot gel station was closer to mile 6.

Atlanta is known for hills and while we ran down the famous Cardiac Hill, we paid for it later with some long uphills in the back half of the race. Cheer stations helped get us through. High fives are abundant on the course and the Atlanta Track Club is great at cheering everyone on..I look forward to doing this race again next year.

This was my second year running the Big Peach Sizzler and both years have been amazing experiences. The course has pretty amazing cheering sections for being a relatively small race. Due to cooler conditions, I was able to break my PR. It also helps that this course has small rolling hills and felt relatively flat considering it is Atlanta we are talking a about.

The race does offer same day bib pickup so you don’t have to go into town ahead of time if you’re not close by. Water stops are readily available and welll stocked and the finish area had plenty of post race refueling options. You need to add this to your Labor Day must dos if you are in Atlanta,

This was the first year of the Braves County 5k finishing in the new stadium, SunTrust Park. Atlanta is a hilly beast, but the hills in the area surrounding the new stadium are worse than normal. The good news is there are some great downhills in this race. It was challenging, but fun. After a downhill near the end and flat land in the stadium, I was able to finish strong.
