This is a perfect Halloween race! It is set in amazing Sonoma County among the vineyards. The views while running were stunning. Great atmosphere, great wine, great race! Many friendly people were running in costumes making the race even more enjoyable. I would recommend this race to anyone looking to experience great wine, scenery, and people.

Wow, talk about great views while running! This course is amazing! The race is set overlooking Lake Okanangan, you enjoy breathtaking views of the lake, vineyards, and the creekway. The packet pick-up is very small, but parking is easy for both the expo and the race. There is a bus that takes you to the Vibrant Vine Winery & Tasting Room for the race start. The race starts at a tasting room and ends with a wine-tasting festival! The post-race party is next to the lake and is one of the most beautiful I have ever attended. This festival is a great way to finish an amazing race. The course is downhill, so a nice easy run followed by a wine post-party makes this race a MUST-DO!

This race is always a must-do! When else can you run thru a winery? It's awesome! Come for the race, and stay for the wine!
The race in 2017 was in record temperatures! Other than that, the race was good. The course was the same as in previous years, out along the creek, around country roads, thru De Loach winery, and back up the creek. The race is set in beautiful Sonoma County among vineyards, I would recommend to anyone looking to have a great Runcation/vacation weekend. Plus, you get a bottle of Runners Red from De Loach when you register for the half or full marathon! Just another reason to run this race!

I had been very excited to do this race that has been labeled a "bucket list"... and I was greatly disappointed. They ran out of water at multiple aid stations!!! This was unacceptable! The race takes place on back country roads where runners do not have any access to water other than aid stations. I witnessed 2 ambulances coming to the aid of overheated runners during the first 6 miles of the course. I overheard many runners discussing their anger about not having water stocked at aid stations. My suggestion to the race staff is to oversupply the aid stations with water rather than have them run out.

The Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Half Marathon is a bucket list race! The expo is huge, with lots of vendors as well as a beer garden overlooking the expo. Packet pickup went smoothly. The amount of runners at the race start was pretty amazing to see. The crowd was pumped and full of energy. Running across the Golden Gate Bridge was incredible! Although it was foggy, the views were still amazing. The race swag is comfortable, well made shirt, and an large, beautiful medal. This race is definitely something to experience!
