I had a great time running the half! It was a challenging course but beautiful course. The medals looked great and the pulled pork afterwards hit the spot! And the free race photos was amazing! My only complaint is that when we came down from the mountain at the end, we had to loop around and head back up the mountain for the last little bit. This was a little confusing. You definitely need to be in shape to run this race.

Where do I start?! My favorite race of all times!! It is one of the most technical and challenging courses that I have ever ran, I ran my first 50k last year with my friends and this race has me hooked! The scenery was beautiful and the aid stations where fun. The love the pirate photo "booth" opportunity a mile 7. The whole race experience was fantastic. The volunteers were so encouraging and the aid station had everything that you needed. Even though we cane in just over the cut off time, there was still people cheering us as we came down from the mountain. It was a life changing experience. I will be doing this again!

This race was a flat and fast course but according to other races I have ran it was a little boring. There was some beautiful spots, but because I ran the half, I didn't get to ran as far out as the longer distances. Most of the race was through town with a little bit through the trails. I did love the technical shirt and it is my favorite race shirt. The medals were nice and parking was a breeze. It was also nice to use a real bathroom versus a porta potty.
