I absolutely love racing North Country. It is a trail race along the North Country Trail. It sells out extremely fast because the runners are so well taken care of. There is a half marathon, marathon, and 50 mile ultra race. The swag bag is the best. Last year the runners were given a tech shirt, t shirt, 2 different types of hats, coffee mug, sweatshirt, and cinch bag. Then when you finished the race you get a medal as big as your head! The aide stations on the run are top notch. Anything you could ever want they have. Trail mix, watermelon, orange slices, pickle juice, flat coke, pizza, baked potatoes, and more! This will be my third year running the half and even though it's tough, it's one of my favorites!

I love running at Bayshore every year. The course is beautiful and the volunteers are the best! The community engagement is top notch and you never feel alone on the course. The half has a few rolling hills at the start and then it is downhill along the bay. The breeze is amazing! I recommend this race to any runner or walker.

The Capital City River Run is an amazong event that involves the entire capital area community. Playmakers, a local and nationally know running store, sponsors the race. They provide pacers up to 15 minutes per mile, which is amazing for the back of the pack runners! The course is flat and well marked. The race director has done a great job of working with local officials to close off roads so that all the runners stay safe. It is a fairly flat course that runs through Lansing and Michigan State University. It's a great race for any beginner or seasoned runner.
