I ran the 5k and the marathon this year. It was my 8th marathon and it was SO much fun. I think the aid stations even beat the WDW Marathon aid stations. Not only did they offer tylenol, biofreeze, and sunscreen, but I had a volunteer with gloves on spray sunscreen on my arms and rub it on for me. She went above and beyond so I was comfortable! There was also a point where they handed out cold towels and cups with ice. A lady told me I wasn't sweating enough and put the cold wet towel on my neck. I trudged on eating my ice chips and I was so happy even though it was hot and I was going up the giant hill on the highway. The crowd support was awesome. The entertainment was awesome. I loved seeing the houses and smelling the water down by the beach. I would run this marathon again in a heartbeat!

I ran Glass City in 2019. The weather was in the 40's and 50's and I was comfortable the whole race. I enjoyed the easy elevation and aid stations. Although I thought the neighborhoods were not very scenic to run through, the people who came out to cheer everyone on and hand out their own snacks like orange peels were great and my favorite memory from this race. As someone who was at the back of the pack, there were times when there were no other runners in sight and no support on the course. When I finished in 5:55 there were no bananas left at the finisher's tent. If I were to recommend this race to a friend I would hope that there would be more support for people who are not as fast.
