This is a smaller marathon but that didn't make it any less amazing! The fans were great! The course is very flat with just a few rollers - a great course to BQ. You are running along roads that still have traffic as they are not shut down so just be aware when you are out there. The volunteers did a great job keeping us safe! The aid stations are plentiful with water, gatorade and GU. I was pleasantly surprised with how well organized this race was :)

The weather was miserable in 2018 but that didn't stop the runners of the Boston Marathon. Everyone was incredible - the fans, the volunteers, the other runners. Despite torrential downpours and 30mph headwinds, everyone was seemingly having the time of their life. The race of a lifetime and I cant wait for next year!

I LOVED this race! It was a flat beautiful course through Iowa - the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. Yes, they call it a "trail marathon" but don't be intimidated - it is completely flat and you're running on a nice running path - makes recovery easier and a good course to BQ! This race was incredibly well organized and had so much energy. You're running for a great cause and it makes you proud to be part of something much larger than yourself. And the race shirts you get are the best !
