Race was fun. Not the best exactly but fun. They need to work on their organization a lot in relation to the race itself. I’ve run the race in the past and I was still confused- let alone if it was someone’s first one! That being said, the after festivities were great with lots of amazing food and good company. I recommend this pretty much just because of the festival afterwards:)

First of all the views for this race were absolutely breathtaking! The beautiful views of the horse farms with the horses running along side of you as the route leads you over enchanting stone bridges with lovely trickling creeks and under lovely tree shaded avenues. Seriously the views could not be beat! Even the weather held out wonderfully for us!
With the lovely views does come a few rolling hills- nothing terrible but there were quite a lot of them! A little hill training would definitely be of benefit in preparation for the race.
Aid stations were well stocked and the volunteers were all very friendly and helpful with lots of fun energetic music playing at most.
The expo unfortunately was pretty nonexistent...no lines which is great but hardly more than a sign in with a photo op.
The after party was pretty much nonexistent as well. All they had was a sausage sandwich and water...I think they were suppose to have a lot more but I guess something fell through...
Also, we tried booking at some of the recommended lodging places and evidently no one from the race had reached out to the hotels about this year’s price offerings to the race participants so they were unaware of the price discounts on the website. Disappointing but there were lots of affordable hotels around anyways so it wasn’t too big a deal.
That being said all the volunteers and participants were so nice, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely do it again but they do need to work on their organization and follow through.

This truly was a wonderful race! My sister and I decided to do this one last minute and we were both so glad we did! The race volunteers were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed, even giving us some tips for race day. Music was great throughout the race and everyone was so supportive cheering us all on as we went. The route was super fun and going through the park in particular was so nice. Plenty of areas along the route (if you know the area a little) for our supporters to come out and cheer for us.
The pancakes after the race were seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. Love the fruit and hot chocolate as well! Overall, we both really loved it and are probably going to sign up for it again next year!
