I'm a huge Disney fan and I love running their races! I've run Marathon weekend and Princess weekend several times but this was my first time doing Wine and Dine and once again Disney did not disappoint! I was in corral B so there were no lines and I got to stop for every single character! So much fun!!! I love that the course ran you through three Parks although I would have loved to run in the Parks longer. But Disney keeps you entertained on the roads outside the Parks. Photopass photographers taking pics was new to me and I love it so much more! The pictures were excellent and they took a ton!!! The race shirts were super cute! We attended the after party at Epcot and it was fun but it was storming and I was so tired so I didn't enjoy it as much as I wished. The only downside to Disney races is the early wake up. But it's worth it!

The Battleship 12k is always an emotional race for me. Running for those that have sacrificed so much for our freedom almost stops me in my tracks. Running for my Pawpaw who was a POW in WWII means more than I can ever say. Being able to recognize the Veterans running by the different color of their bibs and hearing and expressing thanks to them is an amazing experience. This is seriously one of my most favorite races that I am so thankful I get to run every year! The course is mostly flat (there are a few bridges you run across) and fast. Finishing in front of the Battleship is awesome!!! The race shirt is always so soft and I love how all the runners' names are written on the back. And the finisher medal is amazing every year! This is a race that even everyone should run!!!

Growing up in the Pensacola area makes this race so meaningful for me! It's so awesome to run from the three mile bridge across Pensacola Bay to the bridge that takes you to Pensacola Beach! There are inclines on the bridges of course but they are quick. The race shirt is always cute. And I absolutely love that you get a headsweats visor or hat at the finish! And the finisher medal is great as well! Publix is usually a sponsor so they provide food at the end. Then one of the restaurants on the boardwalk has hot food available to the runners as well. This is a race I look forward to running every single year!!!
