Entire race is climbing and descending almost constantly. The course is very winding with endless curves. I have raced this 2x and train on the course weekly and i have to tell you most runners are oblivios to the miles of really long climbs and descents. Either they are looking at the scenery, nice houses, or staring at their shoes- but for whatever reason they arent looking up and realizing that monster long hill ascent they are burning heavy carbs on. I've driven the course and studied it and biked on it...and there are barely only 3 solid miles or so of actual real flat course. The rest is an endless climb and descent. Rarely is it actually flat for very long. Some long hills are glaringly obvious and others are just miles of gradual climb.
And they say mostly flat and fast on their website sales pitch but if you pay attention its quite a slow course. If you want a pr find a faster course that is actually mostly flat and fast. They have removed their previously available elevation chart from the website no doubt hoping no one will see the climbing involved as they add more simultaneous races to sell as they grow.

But i love this course anyway and reccomend it simply because its beautiful! This will be my third attempt. Management is great and the people are always great. Just being honest and reslistic about the climbing. Hope it helps.
Basic summary: Miles 1-12 or so tons of climbing and descending. 13-end is basically one endless descent turnning back to and endless ascent to the end. A few truly flat breaks here and there.

(Btw they are bad hills by any standard! Calling them "rolling" or "florida hills" doesn't change their heights or difficulty) Hope this helps your decision.
