The first year of the Holiday Color Run was such fun! It started and finished at East McDowell Middle School and all proceeds benefitted the school.
Participants ran through multiple color stations to get showered with red and green powder. The finisher's medal was a unique ornament.
It's a great race and I hope it continues!

The Bigfoot Chase is another great run in Marion, North Carolina. It starts and finishes in downtown Marion.
Great finisher's medal that has a magnet to attach to other medals in the race series, Bigfoot sightings on the course, and an awesome festival downtown after the race. The Bigfoot Festival featured tons of vendors, food, and fun.

The race is part of the McDowell Race Series and features a great race management team.

The Sweet Treats 5K is centered around a sweet treat festival in Marion, NC. It is full of small town charm and great scenery. End of the race sweet treats, along with an awesome festival, make this race all around fun! Great race management, fantastic runners, and small town feel! Awards medals for individual age groups and finisher's medal for all! I mean, who doesn't love bling!!!

This run has fantastic views, great runner support, and an unbelievable after party! Coastal Race Productions always does a good job with their races.
Oak Island is a fabulous beach with a small town feel.
The race expo features local businesses with their products for sale. The after party features great music, amazing BBQ, and a "feel good" scene.
This year it POURED during the entire 13.1 miles...and I LOVED it! You see some amazing ocean views, get to run a flat course, and get a gigantic finisher's medal! What else could you ask for??
This is definitely a "must do" race!

The Spinx Run Fest was great!
The course was amazing and absolutely beautiful! I stopped running at one point to take a look around. Part of the course was through a park and it was breathtaking.
The race finished in a baseball stadium and featured great medals, pint glasses, post-race yummies, and an overall great race experience.
My husband completed the Swamp Rabbit marathon and enjoyed the course as well.
