I had no expectations of this race when I signed up, and I was insanely and pleasantly surprised! The race was very well organized, from parking, to directing racers to the bib pick up locale. I very much enjoyed the swag, but had huge regrets at not signing up for both the 5k and the 10 miler (as those racers got an adorable trivet to commemorate the race). The swag bags were packed with delicious treats and a nice neck gaitor, which I was pleased to get on that cold morning. I was surprised by the amount of hills in Foxboro, but honestly, it makes for a really fabulous pre-Boston race. I had to adjust my pace a little to adapt to the hills, but I did enjoy the challenge. The 5k itself is flat, I'm told. Free finish line photos await you at the end as well as the nicest medal I've ever received outside of a Disney race. Free post race food generously donated by local vendors was delightful (chicken sandwiches, mac n cheese, fruit). This race was ridiculously well-priced and I would absolutely do it again next year (but I'd sign up for both the 5k and the 10 miler next time!)
