How often do you get a chance to run on a runway of a huge airport? It was awesome! Packet pickup was a breeze, they had pick up the day of the event as well. Parking was far depending on how soon you got there. Due to security everyone had to go through medal detectors. The race was cool, start was great, course was very flat. At the end of the runway they had two huge private jets marking the halfway point with aid/water stations. At the end they had snacks and gatoraid. Race was very fun, it was neat seeing planes taxi beside us and passengers waved. Very cool experience!

My very first 5th line 5k. Packet pickup was convenient and easy. Packet included voucher for 2 Columbus Blue Jacket tickets, Long sleeve technical shirt, Ohio health gloves (cheaply made). Parking was in garages around Nationwide Arena, for $5.00. Parking was easy to get in and out. It was a cold day around 20 degrees. Inside the arena they had venders set up including Tim Hortons with hot chocolate. Race started with National Anthem and music to get you in the running spirit. They had pacers in this 5k which was nice. Race took you through downtown and along the Scioto river by COSI. And of course it ends on Center Ice, which there was no ice, and there was flooring down, but it was cool to see yourself on the Jumbo tron screen hanging in the arena. After crossing the finish you have to walk up a few flights of stairs to receive your awesome finishers medal and snacks. This was a great race, I highly recommend it!
