This is one of the larger 10k races in the country for a reason...it's fabulous! The swag is great, the course is fast and flat and made to PR. The course is also beautiful and takes you through some of the most scenic and iconic parts of Kansas City. Local runners and visiting runners, alike, rave about this race and the course. It's extremely well managed and organized. You will run it once and run it over and over again.

I have run this race every year since I moved to Kansas City four years ago. It is one of my favorite half marathons in the country! The course is scenic and not too hilly. You go through some of the most beautiful areas in Kansas City, Missouri. The swag is always great...nice, attractive t-shirts and beautiful, big finishers medals. The race is well run and the after party with a live band is a great way to celebrate your accomplishment. If you don't live in the Kansas City metro, this race is well worth traveling to and making a weekend out of your race experience. If you are trying to qualify for the Half Fanatics, this race is the first in a three race series called the Heartland 39.3 Challenge and those three races will get you your Half Fanatic entry level Neptune status. I love this race and it's a favorite of the locals for a reason. My friends who have traveled from out of town to run this understand why people rave about this half marathon and pledge to run it again and again. You will never be sorry you Rocked the Parkway!
