I have run this race twice and had a great experience both times. It is a smaller race than the usual big Philly ones. You run the 8.5 mile loop along Kelly Drive. They do not shut down the roads so you stay on the pathway the entire time. It was surprisingly nice to run like that and it never felt crowded. As always, the scenery is amazing with boat house row and everything on the river. There is a slight incline at two different points but nothing you would call an actual hill. 2020 went virtual due to the pandemic but it is back IRL this year and I can't wait to do it!

If I could give this race a 100 stars I would! I ran the half in November of 2019 and it was everything I had hoped for and so much more! I was coming off an injury and had not trained much but it looked so good I had to go for it! First of all, the SWAG was amazing! From the shirt to sunglasses to nutrition treats, etc. You are bused to the top of the mountain very early in the morning while it is still dark. When the race begins, the sun is just starting to come out and the view is spectacular. You run the first 5 miles straight down hill so your pace is really good. It levels out a bit but continues all the way down the mountain. Trust me, you will want your phone out to take pics. The race continues through the town and the finish line is so much fun. You get a card with your time printed within minutes. They also provide you FREE pictures and a video within a week or so. REVEL knows how to do races right!

I have run this 9 times and every time only gets better! The race starts in North Philly and ends in South Philly at the Navy Yard. It is completely flat the entire 10 miles! There are people cheering from start to finish ending with the Mayor giving high fives to everyone.

It has gotten more and more crowded over the year so the first few miles move a little slow. However, the crowds in that area are so amazing that it’s a good trade off for me.

The medals are great quality and they have switched to tech shirts in the last couple years.

This year it rained the entire race and I still had the best time!

I have run this half 3 times and had a great experience for each one. The race starts at the Art Museum and winds around through the city. The crowds are amazing especially around city hall and the scenery is great showcasing different parts of the city.

There are a few hills but for the majority are the race you are running flat.

I would definitely recommend this as a fun filled Spring half!

This was my first marathon in my own city! I love Philly races and this one did not disappoint. I have done the half several years but this was my first year doing the full. A good portion of the course is flat but there are some hills mixed in towards the middle and up through Manayunk. Even though you are running uphill the crowds in Manayunk make up for that. Their energy is amazing as they cheer, hand out cups of hydration and beer (😂). The streets are lined with these awesome fans for several miles there.

The end of the race is all flat and ends right in front of the Art Museum steps. The medal is always big and bold and the aid stations set up nicely.

The expo for the race is also really good. Since I live in Philly I take the train but there are plenty of parking lots around if you drive.

All in all great 26.2!
