The Plaza 10K is an electric event. The Plaza area is historic and beautiful, and getting to run the course along Brush Creek with so many runners of all abilities was one of my favorite highlights of 2019. The event itself is so well managed and organized, it's hard to believe that there are so many participants, but it's not difficult to see why. The local support is strong and uplifting, and on a fast, flat course, it really makes you feel like you're flying. Even parking was remarkably easy (and free!), which is definitely a point worth mentioning if you know the area. I didn't have to carry water with me because there were several aid stations along the course and there were lots of snack and beverage options available at the finish. It was rainy and humid and my 10K PR for the year. I can't wait to run this race again, and I definitely recommend it as an experience to not be missed!
