We ran this race in costumes for a friend's bachelorette party. The course of mostly flat, the local crowd is super supportive, and the food and beer at the afterparty is amazing!!! If you like a festival feel to your after party, this is it! There are lots of different food and beer options and its all included in you race entry. The course is well supported and the neighborhoods you run through
really go out of their way to make a fun experience for the runners. I've done this race weekend 8 years in a row because I love it so much!

This is a 4 race series. One race a month for 4 months (August-November) with a ton of options for distance. These races are sponsored by Alamo beer. Each race takes place at a different location which allows you too see different areas of town. The distances increase each month and it falls in line with training plans for the Rock-n-Roll half and full marathon in December. There is a lot of positivity, free race photos and always a cold beer at the finish. Plus if you sign up for the challenge, you get a bonus medal and pint glass at the end! Alamo Beer Challenge is a great series with local flair.

If you have done Louisiana Marathon and liked it, this is the sister race run by the same company.
They bus all the marathoners 26.2 miles away from the start line and almost the whole course is along the beach. It's all flat except for the last 2 miles where you run up a ramp to get on the highway.
There isn't much crowd support along the way, because most people go to the baseball stadium to watch the finish and have some gumbo. If you're looking for a beautiful and peaceful run with
delicious food at the end, this is your race. Also, if you participate in any of the events of this race weekend in December and any of the races for Louisiana Marathon Weekend in January, the give you an extra medal. They call it the Beach to Bayou challenge.
