I loved this race and definitely would like to run it again! I knew going in that the course is downhill and I could possibly PR which I did and am extremely excited about it. It starts off with a very steep hill but after that it's a lot of rolling hill continuously going down so it doesn't feel too bad on the body. I loved the long sleeve top I received as well and ran in it and it was great especially since it was cold when the race started and didn't get too warm by the time it ended. Awesome medal as well! I highly recommend this race for everyone looking for a PR and great views throughout the course the makes the time running fly!

Unfortunately, this is a race I would not recommend to a friend. I have ran it twice and already regretting the 2nd time. The course does not have great views and you can be alone for long periods of time without water stations. They do market it as a Christmas run with people singing carols but you don't see any decorations or singers on the course unless you are running the 5K and there was one small spot on the half marathon course at the end with decorations which I believe was part of the 5K course. I was really over the race and just wanted it to be over by mile 13 but of course there is one more steep hill at the end that just made me want to give up! I did enjoy the expo and the race swag is awesome so if you are doing the LaceUp challenge then I can see why you would run this race because the course itself is not great at all.

BEST Race Experience Ever! I originally signed up for this race because of the chocolate and the awesome jacket you get at swag! It was my first 15K race and it was very hilly and steep especially around mile 7/7.5. I loved the challenge of the course but wish the views were better but that still doesn't take away of how accomplished I felt once I finished the race! The expo had a variety of vendors just wish it were a little bigger. If you are looking to challenge yourself or love running hills this is the race for you!
