Great staff, beautiful scenery, stellar post-race food! If this is your first time running a trail race, be aware of a couple of things. First, the majority of the trails are fairly rocky, so make sure you’re prepared to balance yourself. Second, there are a couple of slippery water crossings, so be ready to catch yourself! Finally, the first mile or so is a fairly steep downhill, which makes for a really steep uphill climb for a half mile before the end of the race, and even the seasoned trail runners had a rough time getting up.
That being said, this is a beautiful course, the full aid station at the start of each loop was staffed with amazing volunteers, and you have several race options to choose from. Will definitely be taking this challenge on again.

Ran this one and was blown away by the energy and fun of this race. The whole town turns out and turns their streets and neighborhoods into a party. Staff was super supportive, aid stations were plentiful, and no sneaky giant hills waiting out on the course. I always recommend this one to someone looking for a great half to run.
