This was my first in-person race back since February 2020! I live about an hour from the race so I decided to do packet pick-up on the morning of. There was no expo but you could pick up your packet in the days before the race at the Snohomish Running Co store. I was a little disappointed that they didn't bring the t-shirts so you had to walk to the store after the race to pick them up (which I didn't end up doing because my legs hurt too bad). I was nervous about parking because there aren't any large parking lots in downtown Snohomish and the only parking options given by the race was nearby street parking. I got there about an hour and and half before the start of the half marathon and had no trouble parking about three blocks from the start. The start was pretty organized and started on time although there were no pacers or markers for pace in teh corrals for the half ( I did see them for the marathon). The course was very pretty with fall colors and farmland visible, although after a while especially with a mostly out and back course it would have been nice to have some more cheering sections or some kind of course entertainment along the way. There was one hill in town in the first mile of the race and after that the elevation was fairly flat although there were some small rolling hills. The course aid stations were great and I LOVED that they had Nuun and water at every station with gels at most stations as well. Overall, this was an excellent small-town race and I would do the half again for sure! Personally, I probably wouldn't do the full marathon because there just wasn't enough distractions along the way for it to feel much different than a training run for me.
