Three of us went, and my niece took 1st Place Overall Woman. None of us will return next year because of how poorly this event was set up.
1. At the start of the race, there was a turn right after the start of the race, and people were tripping on each other.
2. Bridge that runners went up, down, back up, and then down, and the bridge was large, but that is life.
3. No awards at the end of the race, and they had it advertised. I just found out that they gave a clear cheap coaster that said the same thing on all coasters to the winners, I guess.
4. No Awards as promised for the 1st thru 3rd Place winners of the race.
5. The only snacks that were at the end of the race were unripe bananas or crackers.
6. This was a big event and not cheap, yet the race was set up terribly, and no nothing at the end of the race. Within 10 minutes, the event was cleared out, and runners were very disappointed.
Millennium Racing Events put this on, and I suggest not doing their events.
We will not return next year, and many other runners said the same thing.

I did several of their races. Waste of time and money.
Unprofessional and much more. Usually, NEVER chip timed and the results are incorrect many times. Top 5 races of males & females get the awards which is ridiculous. NO Race Timing Company does that anywhere else in the United States.
Whiskey Joes was the 1st race I did with my 2 nieces and BOTH nieces placed in the race and I did also but they gave me the wrong color ticket at the finish line so I was not included.
This happened again 1 year later at another race and what they did was have teenage volunteers hand out awards at the finish and a girl handing out the awards failed to hand me an an award and I watched her hand an award out to another guy that crossed the finish line well after me that was around her age.
If you want to go to a race that is good and professionally chip timed and awards are given to people fairly in all age divisions, DO NOT go to these races. If you are an older person, you most likely will not get an award unless you are fast because the younger runners will always win.
The shirts are usually always cotton and never polyester and the metals are the same year after year because less and less people are attending their races and they have so many left over medals. They give away medals at other races that belong to a different race.
Nice couple that puts on the events but they do not run the races professionally.
A race should have a chip-timed start at the beginning and at the end of the race.
Someone needed to give an honest rating on this company because I have spoken to so many people that no longer go to Xanadu Race Management events because of all the things that I have discussed in this review.
Ask the people running the event about everything I have listed and see what they tell you. I always try to say good things about timing companies but someone needed to tell the world about how bad of an experience you will have if you take part in their events, especially if you are a runner that takes your events seriously.
I could say so much more but I think you get the point and I hope these guys read this review and change how they do things and treat the events with more professionalism or maybe they get out of the business. I have 6 items in my possession along with emails to show anyone that I am telling the trust 100%. I really do not want to hurt their business but rather wake them up so they treat the sport better.

Great event BUT most Hilly I have ever done in my entire life. I placed 2nd and it was fun. Not much of a post-party but a nice event. I was injured running to the finish line because it was also downhill which I think might not be smart. Finishline should be flat and not down hill. I heard my ligament snap and I was out for 3 months but the race was still fun and cool. I do not suggest this race for older people.

I did the 15K & 5k 2 years ago on the same day and that is so cool that they set this event up so people can do that. The race itself is off the hook. Wide roads and so many people. The timing is done by Chronotrack which is the BEST in the world or 1 of the top 2.
The medals are the best by far but the event itself is run so professionally. I do this event every year and I have even traveled to other states to do this event with my wife because of the event and how professional it really is.
Do this event and you will come back each and every year.

This event is always good. Has one of the best post parties and the race itself is a lot of fun. Mostly flat and fast. Many runners and I think they should not have a mass start because runners have a hard time breaking out.
Timing is always perfect and these guys put on a very professional event. Nice Finisher Medal and they also give away awards to 1st thru 3rd place in all age brackets.
