I have run this half a few times over the years and it’s always a great day. The weather can be be variable so always be prepared.

The last few miles of the race can also be a bit deceiving as you think you are coming to the end but realize you have a couple miles left.

The finish line is fun at the River Cats stadium and there are always a lot of spectators in the stands. Beer garden is also great.

This race is fairly flat and a great FAST course. I recommend it if you have run it yet. For a little extra fun, run the 5k/10k the day before and get some fun extra swag.

f you love a great 1/2 marathon for a Turkey Trot well this is it. This is actually my 4th time running this race I believe. The course had a bit of a change this year, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. This is a flat and very fast course. You will have a freeway over pass between mile 2 and 3 also 12 and 13. This is totally doable and nothing to worry about. You'll just click off the miles I promise.

There is so much available parking very close so no need to worry about fining a place, its easy peasy.

The medals and t-shirts are nice, long sleeve tech so definitely a shirt you can wear while you run.

Its a very enjoyable race and one that I'll make sure is always on my race calendar.

This was the 6th time I have run this 1/2 marathon. I ran it as my very first 1/2 in 2017, so this is a race I always do. So many smiles, volunteers and of course the Johnny Cash music at the finish. This is a great first for runners just starting, but its also great for those trying to catch a new PR. The course is smooth, the views are amazing and its a fairly flat and fast race. The finish line is in old Folsom, so the festivities after are always fun to attend. Everyone should run this race, its a BLAST

The swag rocks, the medals are huge and fantastic. They are actually personalized with your name and bib number. I’ve run this race the past 4 years and I always try and make sure I do it every year.

The course is flat and fast and a great place to get an amazing PR. The aid stations are great and the RD puts together a great event. This is one of the budget friendly races around. I highly recommend it.

I love this race. It’s point to point, which for me makes it even better. You’ll start near the Coloma/Pilot Hill area and run your way down and around Folsom Lake. There are so many beautiful sights to see. I’ve done this race a couple of times and never disappointed. The aid stations and volunteers are fantastic. The swag is also great, I always love getting a custom jacket and the medals rock. The race benefits the juvenile diabetes foundation, so a great cause.

If you are looking for a fun point to point 50k, then this is it.
