I ran in 2021 with a colleague and we had a generally good time.

The Pros: The course is very flat-the tunnel and a couple early hills (mainly overpasses, in all honesty) but otherwise very flat.
Aid Stations were plentiful, and people were energetic.
The run along the water was super pretty and running through the Boardwalk imagining the crowds during the summer is cool.
Shirt and Medal were of good quality.
Bathrooms galore pre-race. They use Atlantic City Casinos.
Expo is on the beach-grabbed my stuff than spent time in the ocean, nice day.

Cons:
People in the area don't know about the marathon. I was swerving around people on the Boardwalk, which was slightly irritating in all honesty, all people who were just walking dogs or strollers, and I was in the faster group (3:17)
Hotels. Its Atlantic City. Cigarette Smoke for days...little annoying, especially for a guy with asthma like me. I stayed outside the city, but it wasn't exactly ideal.
Straightaways-good-except pothole laden.

I like the race because you can travel day of from Maryland, PA, NY, and Jersey, which works out well.

I will likely do again, especially because it is a small-ish race.
