My first race ever, as I started running mostly because my husband had a t-shirt from this race that I loved and I wanted one of my own.

It's a huge race, and parking is somewhat difficult to fine in Boulder. We walked several blocks in and there were plenty of port-a-potties on the way. It is set up by waves, and as we started in one of the later ones there was some weaving around the walkers.

The race itself is great, with tons of people lining the streets, lots to see on the side of the road (belly dancers, slip and slides set up, music, people just camped out on their lawn to cheer you on), music and stands set up along the way. It's up a hill to the finish, and you take a loop around the track to get to the finish line. Afterwards, you pick up some swag and can head up to the seats in the stadium to watch everyone else finish.

Overall still one of my favorites. Great organization, huge crowds, lots to see.
