This was my first outing with Tejas Trails, and it was super fun.
It had thunder stormed the night before, so it was a straight up slog on the trail. Lots of single track, lots of wet rocks, lots of legit trails. Overall, it was a challenging course, but it was hard to tell if that was because of the actual trail, or the conditions on that day.
In terms of actual race execution, I thought Tejas trails did a bang up job. Packet pick up went smoothly. The trail was well marked, and really super scenic and interesting. Aide stations had all you could want out of an aide station: tail wind, pretzels, water, sandwiches. The volunteers were helpful and friendly. The swag was great, and the race had a super chill and relaxed vibe.
Overall, I had a great time, and will definitely run with these guys again.
