I had a great experience running the Napa Valley Marathon this past November. The course is absolutely beautiful running through the vineyards and countryside of Napa Valley. The scenery made for a very enjoyable and not too challenging route.

The organization of the race was excellent. Packet pickup went smoothly, the signs on the course were clear, and the aid stations were well stocked. I never felt like I didn't know where to go or was lacking in fuel and hydration.

One of the best parts was the post-race festival and medal. The food, drinks and music made for a really fun atmosphere to relax in after finishing. And the detailed design on the marathon finisher medal will make it one to cherish.

My one small critique would be the crowded bottlenecks at some points on the course as the marathon and half marathon routes converged. It slowed things down a bit. But that's a minor issue - overall I thought this race was fantastic and I would highly recommend it, especially for the beautiful Napa scenery. I plan to come back and run it again!
