I ran this a few weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised. I almost did the Mag Mile half the day before and opted for this one because it was smaller. I enjoyed the majority of the course, minus the hills. I walked those. I was also 32 weeks pregnant running this so was pleased to see so many aid stations and each one had porta potties which I needed! The race support was great and my family and friends had an easy time finding me. The only negative about this race was that the parking at the start was pretty far from the finish line. If i did this race again, I'd park my car at the finish and walk to the start. It really stunk having to track down my car after the race when all I wanted to do was go home. But the parking was free and easy to find. There is no gear check either so keep that in mind when starting. I always like to carry extra water and snacks, long sleeved shirt, etc with me and that wasn't an option. I would highly recommend this race to anyone looking for something a little different than the usual Chicago out and back course.
