Easily one of my favorite RnR races. St Louis, if you have never been, is a really great little city. Downtown is very walkable, there's great food, and the people are friendly. The World Series was going on at Busch Stadium so there was an extra buzz in the city.
I like that I could walk to the start/finish from my hotel. The course is not flat by any means, but it's not horribly hilly either. There were definitely a lot of college kids out making noise and with all the baseball fans in town, it seemed like the support was there.
The rest of the course is pretty great. You get to go through some neighborhoods with really pretty houses, and the finish is (hilly) right in downtown St Louis. The medal and the shirt were nice, and the finish area is very large and easy to get around.
Overall, I can say this was a pretty cool race experience.
