Simple out and back course that takes place during the best time of the year (August). Most of the race is on pavement, but there are a few miles that transition to packed gravel around the middle miles. There really is little impact of this change, just a FYI.

Otherwise, this is a great race to seek a PR whether for the half or full marathon distance. One of the best aspects is that you are in wine country...go for a tasting after the race, or maybe during the expo! Registrations comes with a bottle of wine too, in case you need more reason to run :)
