I have the pleasure of serving as race director for this well-established, Thanksgiving 5k benefiting an awesome cause - the Open Door Café in Wytheville, VA! My daughters - 12 and 8 - have also participated the last two years. The 2021 event was my older daughter's (11 at the time) first 5k race, and it was a wonderful experience. She ran the complete 5k course in around 25 minutes. My younger daughter ran the 1 mile kids fun run and loves it too.
