This was my first time running the race, so I didn't know what to expect with the elevation/hills and where the course actually was.

I live only 15 mins away so I got to the expo fine with plenty of parking. The expo was at the convention center which was huge! A little awkward with the space since there were lots of vendors but more space than needed? But it was fun regardless. Even bought my race day socks there.

But forward to the actual run- it was SO humid and hot that day but there were plenty of water stations along the course. There is a hill at the beginning and the end which sucked, but that and the weather was my only complaint. The metals are so nice and they gave us a nice finisher hat at the end as a "surprise" gift! (I didn't expect it but this was my first J&A race). The race shirt we got the day before was very nice! (short sleeve dri fit). I somehow managed a PR on this race and i'll probably be back at this race due to the convenience of it and the goodies at the end! The after party was pretty hopping with beer tents and soup tents (weather is iffy around this time so the soup wasn't my go to food). J&A racing has the BEST goodies and experience, however, just be prepared to pay a little more for it all! Also, you get FREE race day photos which are pretty awesome too!
