Patrick Scott's thoughts:

I ran the Endurance Challenge 10K with my brother on a comfortable spring day back in 2017. The weather leading up to the event had been a bit wet, but things cleared up the day of. The result was a slightly muddy and incredibly fun 6ish miles on a trail along the Potomac River. The race was well organized, parking was pretty easy (considering the area - parking was offsite with buses providing access to the site), and the after-party/expo was a blast! North Face puts on a great show. People were in awesome moods, in part thanks to the announcers who were keeping spirits alive up to and across the finish line. I definitely recommend this race (and particularly this course) to anyone who is newer to trail running and looking for a generally welcoming and enjoyable introduction into the sport.
