I am new to running. I just started running in January of this year. I never in a million years thought I’d sign up for a half marathon, but I did. I am so glad that I picked Urban Bourbon to be my first half marathon! It did not disappoint!

The communication was perfect! They gave us all of the information we needed to know. I felt like I was very well prepared from the beginning! They were always on different social media outlets giving us info and keeping us excited for the race.

The course is absolutely beautiful! It takes you through one of the prettiest parks in Louisville. Yes, Cherokee Park has hills but they are so worth it. The view is gorgeous! It also takes you through other parts of Louisville and gives you a great view of the city and what Louisville is about. There are plenty of water stations located throughout the course and the course support is phenomenal! I always felt safe and that of something were to happen, someone would be there immediately to help me. Another perk that they have on the course is live bands! There are several live bands throughout the course playing music which is very cool! The pacers were great and they helped me to achieve my goal!

The after party is so much fun!!! Great food, drinks, music, and fun!!!! We had such a great time! My husband didn’t run but he attended the after party with me and enjoyed it as well!

I want to thank Urban Bourbon for making my first half marathon an absolute blast! When I first signed up, my only goal was to finish the race. As I continued to train, I decided to set a time goal. I actually ended up beating my time goal and I am still on cloud nine! I will definitely be back every year to run this race! Also, this race sealed the deal and convinced me to sign up for additional half marathons! So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
