This is the smallest race I have ran, so my biggest fear I was that I would get lost and make a wrong turn somewhere. I was relieved to find that there were plenty of people pointing where to go throughout the race.

Likes:
~the course is beautiful. We ran through downtown Kenosha in addition to up and down the lake
~The course was relatively flat so it is a great race for first timers
~I expected parking to be a huge hassle, but they close down a lot of the roads specifically for parking which made that pretty stress-free.

Needs improvement:
~THE GRAVEL! About a mile of the course is gravel. They tell you this in the course description online, but it is still super annoying. Many people had to stop and take rocks out of their shoes. Altering the course to LSD instead of the gravel side street would have been nice.
~Crowd support is dead after mile 13 because majority of the runners are running the half.
~ The CARS! On LSD there were people running in both directions and cars were also trying to drive. I thought maybe no one told them the road was closed, but I saw firefighters just watching this happen without giving the cars any direction. This happened mostly around miles 16-19. Either close the roads, or do a better job on enforcing it.
~Nothing Post-race for vegetarians. The post race food was a Brat and beer. A cheese pizza option would have been nice.
