Beautiful medals! Great race course until mile 12.9 or so. The course has beautiful views, the MC was great, and while its hilly there are enough downhills and flats to make it comfortable.

I did not like the cobblestones right before the finish- seems like many runners felt the same way. I was ready to make my final push for the line and get under a PB goal, and I had to slow down to not trip over very uneven (historic!) cobblestones, especially because they were wet this year! Organizers should re-think the course to finish before the stones, it seems like a needless risk. Apparently, this was a new course this year, so perhaps there's more room for change.

I also wasn’t impressed that, while having two beer gardens definitely reduced the crowd size and made it easier to get beer, both beer gardens didn’t have food- not that I could’ve eaten anything anyway because the only food offered had dairy- but I was hoping just maybe there would be something like a granola bar or whatever from a sponsor! We ended up leaving pretty quickly from what I think could have been a really fun party at what we didn’t realize until we were inside was apparently the smaller garden with beer ONLY.

Finally- only 3 or 4 toilets at mile 4 was a disaster. I would suggest moving the three toilets right after mile 1 to mile 4. That tends to be the time when people need them more...

Loved everything about this race! The atmosphere is fun, it's well-organized. Great spacing of aid stations, and I thought it was cool that the mid-packers like me could see the male leaders on the return because of the set up of the course.

Having Meb and Des at the finish line was incredible! I sort of wish there'd been some kind of meet and greet or something somewhere further back from the line itself because everyone stopped short right when they finished to get photos, high 5's, etc. but it was really cool that they were there!

The only suggestion I would make would be to have more toilets at the start/finish- the lines were pretty insane. Runners are used to lines but this was something else.

This was a beautiful half marathon - it's deceptively hilly! I always thought that Jamestown was flat and it is DEFINITELY not flat. However, the downhills are amazing!
I thought the race was organized relatively well. It was tough to hear the MC at the start but as far as I'm aware there weren't any really important announcements going on. I was also really impressed with the food options at the finish- there was a little something for everyone and of everything!
The shirts ran VERY small, which was really my only complaint!

Super flat and fast 10K course. The shuttles run really efficiently- it was a little cold waiting for the start but once you get going, it's absolutely beautiful. You run along the ocean for almost the entire course, and finishing at the beach was really fun.
A lot of locals came out to cheer on the runners which I thought was really cool as well!

The only day you can run or walk over this bridge, and it's always at sunrise. It's about 4 miles. It's one big hill because it's a bridge- but the downhill is awesome, too! There are a lot of people of different paces and ages who run the race- lots of walkers as well, which is cool.

The shuttles run really efficiently and it's great to finish in downtown Newport in time for brunch!
