This race had been on my radar since it's first inaugural run. However, due to work and personal schedule I hadn't been able to do it until this year. My cousins live in Princeton and mile 12 goes right by their house so it was very convenient. I was able to walk to packet pickup and the start line! It was a beautiful fall morning and I was so excited to be at the start line. It was a great course with plenty of aid stations. There were times I was by myself on the course but that didn't bother me. The medals are great and the shirt is cute (except for the color). Post race there is plenty of food for the runners. I would do this race again if my schedule allows it. It was a great race.

So this was my second marathon in 12 years but I have worked several throughout the years. My first one was in 2005. Overall I think this was a great marathon with wonderful support. The expo was ok for a regional marathon. I have seen better and I have seen worse. I liked the t-shirt but the cut of this shirt wasn't perfect.I took advantage of the hotel shuttles which made getting to and from the marathon start and finish very easy. I liked having the race start at 7, it was still cool and you were able to finish earlier in the day. The course is challenging but doable. I loved running into some of the neighborhoods because the residents were so supportive. The volunteers on the course were wonderful and plenty of aid stations. Psychologically the last 4 miles were tough for me and of course there aren't as many spectators on the bike course. The only negative thing that I would share, is I think the pace groups went out way too fast and lost a number of people along the way. I didn't start with a group but based on my time I should have been running with the 5:30 pace group the whole time and they were way out in front. Other than that it was a fabulous race that I would encourage everyone to try on Memorial Day Weekend.

This was the third time I have done this race, it has a special place in my heart. I have been the last person on this course and middle of the pack and I love the race and the support. This year I PR'd my half marathon distance. Packet pickup is held at the local Fleet Feet and it is very organized. They have a small expo to go through but you can also shop the store too. The swag was great, it was a quarter zipped long sleeve jacket. The medals are also nice. The course is challenging but has great scenery. You go through several different neighborhoods with lots of history along the way. There are plenty of aid stations and support along the course. I really can't say anything negative about this event. I have and will continue to recommend this event to my friends.

I ran this race on March 26, 2017. They have changed the date of this race due to weather conditions over the years but this year it was quite nice. Not too cold once you got moving. The race starts in front of the OnCenter (Convention Center) and the building is open for runners before the race. This gives runners a place to relax out of the cold and/or rain and also bathrooms. I stilled used the port-o-potties outside because there wasn't a line. Packet pickup was held at the local fleet feet, there wasn't an expo but you could shop at the store. The expo was well organized and I got in and out in no time. The morning of the race I took advantage of the shuttles from satellite parking and that was super easy, to and from the race). The post race party is awesome...hardest thing is trying to find friends because it is such a large party. Course support was fabulous and plenty of it along the way. It is a hilly course but hills build character!! They are changing the time of year it will be held due to other events scheduled so the race will be held again in 2017 in November.
