I really enjoyed this race despite some problems.
To start, there was no real corral system and it was very jammed despite there being a long street blocked off behind the start line. I couldn't see any pacers at the start, but I did find them after the race started.
At a majority of the water stations, there were no cups pre filled and I had to wait for water, and some cups were barely filled with one mouthful.
I enjoyed the post race party, but wish it would have gone longer, I finished the race around 1040 and by the time I made it over there only had 1.5 hours, that's not a lot of time to enjoy the bourbon samples and beer. The music was way too loud as well and I was really glad they stopped 30 minutes before the bash ended.
Lastly, I really liked the engraved bottles, but I'm not sure why we preordered them. After the bash we waited in a long line for someone to look up our time to be engraved on the bottle, and we were then told it would be "a long time" before it was ready so we had to come back again.
Despite the trouble, I did like the course and the race, there are just improvements that need to be made.

This race is not worth the entry cost. There was 1 aid station for the entire 10k route which was giving big cups filled with ice cold water (not what I want while running). In terms of race goodies, the only thing we got was 1 clip on light for night running, a free breakfast sandwich at McDonalds, and a cheap pair of gloves. The race was PACKED the first half of the race and there were many groups walking 5 across and effectively blocked the road when the race was only on one half of the street. By the time I finished (1:15) the end of race stations giving out the electrolyte water was empty! I only k ew about it because my friend finished earlier and told me about it.
This race is not worth the entry fee.

This was a well run race for a first time half marathoner. The expo was a great time with tons of vendors. There were runners of all levels. Aid stations were well stocked throughout. I was not ready for the climb up the ambassador bridge and the heat in the tunnel but otherwise it was a nice ~easy course
