The course was a great easy out and back course. Lots of awesome spectators, plenty of aide stations and porta Potties (cause we all know thats important). They had a good breakfast, chocolate and some bubbly. Also, I am sucker for some jewelry. So the fact they did a necklace instead of a metal was one of the reasons I wanted to do this race.
Here is to some awesome girl power 👊

I like this race I do it just about every year. There is 3 distances you can do. I do the 14 mile run. Super easy to navigate around. Beautiful scenery. Great people to help motivate you through the thing. It's a little difficult cause its trail but honestly I can't imagine not doing it. And the local brewery and running shop that put it on do an amazing job.

This is a 26.2 marathon or relay race. I think they added different other distances too. This is put on by the local x-country team. It's a simple race, no big shenanigans, which is nice. It just focuses on the scenery and the running. It def was my hardest race to date. I did the full 26.2 and at one time had 2000 feet elevation. Which was insane. But super pretty and def worth it.

San Diego was beautiful all in itself but the course I wasn't thrilled about. I was expecting maybe to see the ocean from at least the road. But it wasnt overall difficult course. A few minor hills and nice weather. The after race was okay. Where they had the finish line was crowded. So we were just wanting to get out of there when I was done. The rock and roll expos never ceases to fail. They are jammed packed full of freebees good deals and things to try. I always like the rock and roll expos.

I mean it's Vegas. The expo was 4 halls long. A few areas to take pictures. Great help from the rock and roll people. For changing the half to the full marathon at the last minute. The pre-race concert was amazing. The course is easy and flat in case you were like me and needed an easy starter into the marathoner. I didn't like being in the middle of the desert in the middle miles with barely any light and by myself. Otherwise it was great after, loved the other race aspects.
