This was my very first half marathon. I really enjoyed the entire thing. Jan Steely (Race Director) had excellent communication many weeks before and after the event. I knew exactly what to expect, where the best options for parking were, how many aid stations, etc. There was music on the course from many locals. Relatively a flat course until going through Meadowbrook Park. Ending at the football stadium was an incredible experience, cant wait for next year!

Overall, I had a good time at this race. Unfortunately, it was raining the entire course. The scenery was okay - just through part of downtown and out around the golf course and back. Aid stations were okay, I feel like there should've been at least one more. Not a ton of crowd support at this one. Parking was a little difficult to find. The expo was well done, however not many vendors were there. I liked the race swag (jacket) when I received it, however turns out it was not the best quality - pilling after washing, issues with the zipper. The finish area was cool - loved getting the hot chocolate at the end with all the food. And of course I loved the medal!
